How do I take care of my tattoo?
Keep the first Derm Shield application in place for 24 hours. It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.

After the first 24 hours, gently peel the Derm Shield application by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Once removed, with clean hands, gently wash your tattoo with anti-bacterial soap ONLY, then pat dry the area with clean paper towel. A second application can then be applied for the next several days. Do not wear any piece longer than one week.

Clean 1-2 times a day as needed with anti-antibacterial soap during the second full week of healing your tattoo. One may also apply a thin pea sized varnish of tattoo lotion moisturizer 2-3x a day from one of the recommended tattoo aftercare brands (Hustle Butter, Aquaphor, or A&D Ointment).

After 2-3 weeks (depending on the persons body) your tattoo should be healed. During any stage of the healing process one must avoid direct sunlight, tanning, pets, scratching / picking, open areas of water including but not limited to pools, baths, hot tubs, etc.
